My creations form a way to observe human life in contemporary society, through an interest in immigrants, transgenders, and other strenuous issues associated with urbanization, integration, etc. and their effects on society.
My works do not directly replicate information from real life, they instead carry complex metaphors that take after familiar images and things from life, in all its ingenuities and depths, thereby reducing the distance typically found between an art work and real life.
I used oil paint in most of my subjects, presenting rendered images for precarious social issues associated with consumerism, mass culture, loss of privacy as a consequence of technology, and so on. I am especially interested in engaging with boundaries that are completely erased, or replaced through the passage of time from the past to present.
